The Hipódromo de la Zarzuela
The Hipódromo de la Zarzuela is a historic racecourse inaugurated in 1941 and owned by the state. The beauty and spaciousness of the facilities make it a monument, and one of its most unique elements are the grandstands, which were considered a "Historic Artistic Monument" in 1980, being an architectural landmark of Madrid's rationalism.
If you go to the racecourse, you can enjoy a good day's racing and a visit to a monument of Spanish Madrid rationalism.
The Hipódromo de la Zarzuela has a privileged location 8km from the city of Madrid and has a capacity for 6,000 spectators and 800 horses to enjoy the most spectacular races.
